Leads we found for you report

Who this is for: sales managers who want to know what the website handed the team this month, marketers who report on lead capture, and digital agencies who show their clients what the website captured.

What you'll learn: what the Leads we found for you report shows, the two versions it comes in and when each one applies, why it reads differently from a count of form submissions, how to run it in your AI assistant, how to share it with a sales manager or a client, and how to take it further with your own questions.

Most lead reports count form submissions. That number mixes real people with made-up addresses and typing mistakes, says nothing about who the people are, and leaves out everyone who read the website with intent but never typed their details. The Leads we found for you report starts from the people: how many Engaged Leads the website captured, how each one raised their hand, where they came from, who they are, and how far they have gone towards Won/Closed.

In short: The Leads we found for you report is a ready-made report your AI assistant builds from your Bread & Butter data, for any period you choose. It shows how many Engaged Leads your website captured and how, through your own forms and Bread & Butter's conversion tools, where they came from, the bad email addresses kept out of the count, what profile research found about them, where they are in your funnel, how long they took to raise their hand, and the events and paths that led there. It comes in two versions: one for accounts using Bread & Butter's conversion tools, and one for accounts capturing through their own website forms only; your assistant picks the right one for your account. Every card explains what the chart says, why it matters and what to keep an eye on, and ends with a question to ask next. Run it monthly and send it to your sales manager or your client. Owners, Administrators, Marketers and Sales can run it.

What the report answers

How many people did the website find for us? Every Engaged Lead in the period, against the period before, split between your own forms and Bread & Butter's conversion tools, with how many are already Won/Closed.

How did they raise their hand? The forms and the capture points that did the work, and for the conversion tools, which social login each Engaged Lead used.

Who are they? The companies, roles and company sizes profile research found, so the month's leads read as people and organisations, not as a count.

What happened next? How far the Engaged Leads went through your lead stages, how long they took to become Engaged Leads, and which events and pages led them there.

Two versions, and when each applies

The report comes in two versions with the same cards in the same order. You don't choose between them: your assistant checks whether your account uses Bread & Butter's conversion tools and builds the version that fits.

With Bread & Butter's conversion tools. For accounts that capture through the conversion tools, such as a content gate, a quiz, a subscribe box or a one-click social login added to an existing form, alongside their own website forms. The report reads the two side by side: what your forms captured, what the tools added on top, and whether your form captures held up after the tools went live. The card on how people raised their hand shows the social login each Engaged Lead used and the split between the tools and your forms. See Conversion tools overview

With your own website forms only. For accounts that capture through their own forms and nothing else. Every Engaged Lead in this version typed their details into a form, so the report puts that next to the number of Focused visitors who read your pages with intent and left without a way to reach them. The tools tile on the first card reads 0 with an Install tools now link, the monthly chart shows forms only, and the card on how people raised their hand shows your forms' capture points with a short note on what a one-click social login adds, in place of the two pie charts. The prompts on those two cards ask your assistant why the conversion tools capture more than a form, and your assistant answers from the Bread & Butter help articles.

Your forms keep working exactly as they do in both versions. Once you add a conversion tool, the next run shows both side by side.

What's in it

The report opens with your Engaged Leads at a glance: four figures, each against the period before. Engaged Leads in total, Engaged Leads from your forms, Engaged Leads from Bread & Butter's tools, and Won/Closed, with a short paragraph on what changed and the one thing holding the number back.

Then come the cards, each one on its own:

How your leads were captured, by month. Engaged Leads each month, captured by your own website forms and by Bread & Butter's conversion tools, stacked so you can see what each one adds. When your account has both, the card says whether your form captures held up after the tools went live.

Where your leads came from. Visitors, Focused visitors and Engaged Leads from each of the eight traffic sources: Organic Search, Social, GEO / AEO / AI, Direct / Unspecified, Referred, Ad / Paid, Drip Email and Messaging Apps / CRM. Next to each is the share of its Focused visitors who became an Engaged Lead, so the sources that bring volume and the sources that bring quality both show. This card carries no verdicts; ranking sources is the job of the Attribution & Leads report.

How they raised their hand. The social login each Engaged Lead used with Bread & Butter's tools (Google, Microsoft, LinkedIn, Facebook, Apple, or Email + Password, as your account offers them), the split between the tools and your own forms, and the top capture points for each. Only the methods your account uses appear.

Bad emails stopped. Form submissions whose email address failed the checks: how many there were against the period before, the share of all form submissions, which forms let them through and what was wrong with them (a mailbox that doesn't exist, a made-up address, or a typing mistake in the domain). These submissions are set to Spam / Bad Email and kept out of your Engaged Leads and your lead rates. Social logins always show none, because the provider stands behind the address. See How does Bread & Butter verify leads and enrich profiles?

Who they are. What profile research found about your Engaged Leads: the companies and the roles that appear most, and how many used a company email address. The card shows only what profile research holds. See What is Profile Enrichment, and what does it find?

Company size of Engaged Leads. The size of the company each Engaged Lead works for, smallest to largest, with the share of each band marked Won/Closed. The card appears when profile research has found a company for at least a third of your Engaged Leads; below that, most of your leads are private buyers and the card is left out.

Where they are in your funnel. How far the Engaged Leads went through the lead stages you use, up to five, through to Won/Closed, with how many moved from each stage to the next.

Time to becoming an Engaged Lead. How long it took from the first visit to the email captured or the profile verified: the same visit, within a day, two to seven days, eight to thirty days, or more than a month.

Events most linked to Engaged Leads. What visitors did on your website, and how much more likely each action made them to become an Engaged Lead. See What are User Events and how do I use them?

Top paths to an Engaged Lead. The most common sequences of pages and events before the email was captured or the profile verified, with how many Engaged Leads took each one.

Under every card are three short sections: What the chart says, the three findings that matter; Why it matters, in a sentence or two; and What to keep an eye on, the figures to watch next period and the level at which each one needs a look. People named in the report link to their profile in Bread & Butter.

Following up with the people in this report is a report of its own: ask your assistant for the Leads to follow up report, ideally every Monday morning.

Why it reads differently from your form reports

It counts people you can reach. A form report counts submissions. This report counts Engaged Leads: people who gave a verified email address. Made-up addresses and typing mistakes are stopped, shown on their own card and left out of every other number. Bots are left out of every number too.

It counts every way in. Your forms and Bread & Butter's conversion tools sit side by side, so you can see what each one captures and whether one takes anything from the other.

It says who, not only how many. Profile research adds the company, the role and the company size, so a sales manager can read the month's leads as accounts and people.

It ends at the sale. The funnel follows the Engaged Leads through your lead stages to Won/Closed, so a capture point is judged by the business it led to as well as the addresses it collected.

How to run it

Connect your AI assistant to Bread & Butter first. See Bread & Butter MCP server connections.

Finding the reports. Once you're connected, the reports are ready to run straight away; there's nothing to download or set up. Ask your assistant "What Bread & Butter reports can I run?" and it lists the reports your role can run, with what each one is for. The Insights tab in Bread & Butter lists them too, each with a prompt you can copy.

More than one account. If your login gives you access to several Bread & Butter accounts, name the one you want. If you don't, your assistant asks which one before it runs anything. You can also ask for several accounts at once, for example every client's Engaged Leads this month, and your assistant shows them side by side.

Coming back later. The connection stays in place, so there's no code or key to remember. Open a new conversation, check that the Bread & Butter connector is switched on for it (in Claude, under the + button, then Connectors), and ask for the report by name. If the connection has lapsed, your assistant asks you to reconnect first.

Ask for the report by name, with a period:

  • "Run my Bread & Butter Leads we found for you report for last month."
  • "Run my Bread & Butter Leads we found for you report for the last 90 days, for my main website."
  • "Run my Bread & Butter Leads we found for you report for Q3 and compare it with Q2."

Your assistant gets the report from Bread & Butter, fills it with your account's data and shows it as a page. Each run uses credits like any other question. See How do Credits work across storage, syncing, and profile enrichment?

A good rhythm is monthly. The report tells the month's story of what your forms and the conversion tools captured. To have it arrive on its own on the first of the month, see Run your Bread & Butter reports on a schedule.

Sharing it with your sales manager or your client

For a sales manager. The first card is the summary: four figures and a paragraph on the month. The cards on who the leads are and where they are in the funnel answer the two questions a sales manager asks most: are these the right people, and is the team turning them into business.

For an agency reporting to a client. Run the report for each client's website on the first of the month and send it as it is. It explains itself: every chart carries its own reading, so the client doesn't need you in the room to understand it. Each card can be printed on its own, for a slide or a monthly pack, and printed copies leave out the prompts and the schedule box. This is a sales report, so a client you invite to Bread & Butter with the Sales role can run it themselves and see their leads and the research behind them, while the marketing reports stay with you. See What are the different team roles and what do they have access to?

Someone forwarded it to you? The box under the first card explains how to connect your own assistant and run it yourself.

Taking it further with your own questions

The report is a starting point. Every card ends with Try this next in your AI assistant, a question chosen from that card's most important finding, with a button to copy it. Ask it, or ask your own. A few examples:

Narrow it down. "Show the Leads we found for you report for Ad / Paid only." "Run it for Engaged Leads from one province or state." "Show only the Engaged Leads who used a company email address."

Go one level deeper. "List the Engaged Leads with a company email address, with company, role, Focused Score and the pages they read." "Show the bad emails stopped this month with the form, the page and the traffic source of each."

Compare. "Compare this month's Engaged Leads with the same month last year." "Show the funnel month by month, so I can see whether the step after Engaged Lead improved."

Follow the money. "Show Won/Closed by month for each company size band." "Which capture points brought the Engaged Leads that became Won/Closed this quarter?"

Change the report. "Add a card with Engaged Leads by day of the week." "Leave out the company size card." "Write the summary paragraph for a client who doesn't know what an Engaged Lead is." "Translate the report into French."

Make it yours. Once a version works for you, ask your assistant to remember it, or save the prompt as a scheduled task so it arrives the same way every month.

Your assistant can only answer from the data your account has. When a card has nothing to show for the period, it says so instead of guessing, for example that no Engaged Lead has been marked Won/Closed yet, and a new account with no data yet gets a short note at the top with what to set up first.

What it needs

Bread & Butter installed on your website. Data starts with the next visit. See How to Install Bread & Butter on Your Website

Your forms or Bread & Butter's conversion tools capturing Engaged Leads. Your own forms are enough for the report. Adding a conversion tool brings the version that shows both side by side. See Conversion tools overview

Profile research, for the cards on who they are and company size. Profile Enrichment researches each Engaged Lead when the email arrives, and uses credits. See What is Profile Enrichment, and what does it find?

Won/Closed marked in Bread & Butter. The funnel, the Won/Closed tile and the company size card get sharper with every profile you mark Won/Closed. See How do Lead Stages work in Bread & Butter, and why does marking Won/Closed matter?

User journey events, for the events and paths cards. Name the actions that matter on your website, such as a booking, a quiz completed or a pricing page view, and the report shows which ones lead to Engaged Leads. See What are User Events and how do I use them?
