++ Bread & Butter Onboarding Guide

Your Lead Intelligence Engine is Active!

Congratulations! Now that your WordPress plugin is installed and successfully connected to Bread & Butter, your core intelligence engine is officially running.

Right out of the box, you are now utilizing our proprietary server side tracking. As web browsers implement increasingly strict privacy restrictions like blocking third party cookies and limiting tracking scripts, and users continue to adopt aggressive ad blockers, traditional analytics tools are losing massive amounts of data. Our server side approach bypasses these limitations completely. This guarantees highly precise analytics that capture and reflect your actual traffic flawlessly, giving your AI the complete and unfiltered data it needs.

This pristine data directly powers your Focused Tab, an automated filter that isolates real people who are mathematically ready for outreach by stripping away bots, spam, and unqualified visitors. By analyzing this clean baseline, the engine calculates your Focused Ratio, which is your total number of Focused visitors divided by your total traffic. You can then compare your specific ratio against the Focused Index. The  Focused Index is our proprietary platform benchmark calculated by aggregating anonymized data across our entire network of customers. If your Focused Ratio is higher than the Focused Index, it confirms your marketing efforts are successfully capturing a superior level of genuine human intent.

The best part? Your existing forms are already capturing data.

We are automatically monitoring your current website forms behind the scenes to seamlessly capture data and enrich user profiles. There is absolutely nothing else you need to configure, map, or change, it is already working silently in the background!

Finally, your LeadScore AI engine and Attribution Tracking are fully enabled. Our AI has already begun analyzing thousands of data points and complex user journeys to accurately prioritize your sales pipeline based on real intent. At the same time, the Attribution Report is actively categorizing your top of funnel traffic into actionable intent segments. You will now be able to see exactly which channels are driving valuable conversions, easily tracking visitors coming from organic search, paid campaigns, and even emerging AI search engines like ChatGPT and Perplexity. You can finally stop measuring anonymous clicks and start measuring true ROI.

With your core engine running effortlessly in the background, the following onboarding steps are entirely optional, but highly recommended to maximize your conversion rates and team alignment.

Advanced Optimization

Configure Social Logins with your company branding

Own Your Authentication Experience

  • What it is: Transition your social login providers like Google and Microsoft from our development sandbox to production mode using your own specific branding and app credentials.
  • Why you should do it: Sandbox mode logins are intended for development and testing. Moving to production ensures users see your logo and application name on the OAuth consent screen instead of Bread & Butter, establishing maximum trust during the conversion process.

Configure Custom Domain Branding

Maintain a consistent user experience

  • What it is: Set up a custom subdomain, such as auth.yourwebsite.com, for Bread & Butter to utilize.
  • Why you should do it: Some Social Logins natively display the callback URL domain on their OAuth consent screens. Using a custom domain ensures your users remain within your branded ecosystem during authentication instead of seeing , which maximizes user trust.

Add tracking code to peripheral sub domains

Unify Your Analytics

  • What it is: Specify additional subdomains in your settings where Bread & Butter tracking should run, such as a help center portal or a specific e-commerce store.
  • Why you should do it: Your account allows for your main root domain and up to three associated subdomains. Adding these ensures the LeadScore AI tracks the complete user journey across all your properties, providing a unified and highly accurate view of intent.

Review and Accept lead stages

Align your pipeline logic

  • What it is: Review the default Lead Stages that Bread & Butter uses to categorize your contacts.
  • Why you should do it: Bread & Butter uses specific stages to track the lifecycle of a lead. Ensuring you understand these stages, and actively marking successful outcomes as a Win, is critical because it trains the LeadScore AI to identify similar high intent patterns in the future.

Keep your frontend client updated

Maintain peak performance and security

  • What it is: The Bread & Butter dashboard will alert you if your WordPress plugin or frontend client falls behind our current release version.
  • Why you should do it: Running the most up to date client ensures you have access to the latest features, the most highly precise analytics capabilities, and critical security patches.

Monitor Sandbox Provider alerts

Ensure production readiness

  • What it is: The system will notify you with a warning if any of your active Social Identity Providers are still operating in Sandbox Mode rather than full production mode.
  • Why you should do it: While Sandbox Mode is great for initial testing, leaving a provider in this state means visitors will see Bread & Butter branding instead of your own. Fixing this alert quickly ensures your users get a fully customized and trusted authentication experience.

Review new domain data requests

Secure your tracking environment

  • What it is: If Bread & Butter detects a data request from an unrecognized website attempting to use your tracking configuration, it will immediately trigger a new domain detected alert.
  • Why you should do it: This acts as an essential security checkpoint. You should only click Allow if the request is coming from one of your own legitimate peripheral subdomains. Denying unauthorized root domains or unrecognized URLs protects your data integrity and ensures your LeadScore AI is only processing precise intent signals from your actual audience.
