Form Booster (Works with your existing forms)

The Form Booster adds one-click verification on top of the forms you already have. Nothing about your form, its fields or where it sends submissions has to change, and there's no code to write on WordPress. Visitors verify who they are in one click, their details are filled in for them, and every submission arrives from a real person with a working email address.

In short: When a visitor clicks into your form, the Form Booster opens and asks them to verify with Google, Microsoft, LinkedIn, Apple or a verified email address. Their first name, last name and email address are then filled in, and they submit your form as usual, so it keeps going wherever it went before. It works with WPForms, Gravity Forms, Contact Form 7, HubSpot and many more. On WordPress you add it with a block. On any other site you add it with a short script.

How it works

The Form Booster works on top of what you've already built. Nothing about your underlying form or where it sends submissions changes.

When a visitor clicks into any field on your form, the Form Booster opens. They verify in one click with Google, Microsoft, LinkedIn or Apple, or with an email address and PIN. Once they have, their first name, last name and email address are filled in. The visitor finishes the form and clicks your usual submit button, and the submission goes wherever it always has.

Why use the Form Booster

  • Real people, real addresses. Social accounts are verified by the provider, and email addresses are checked in real time, so fake names and test entries stay out of your CRM.
  • Stays out of the way. If a visitor closes the prompt, it stays hidden for 24 hours so they can fill in the form by hand. It never breaks your site.
  • Asked once, never again. Once a visitor has verified, they have a secure session across your whole site, so they aren't asked again on any of your forms or gated content.
  • Less spam, no CAPTCHA. Automated scripts can't pass a provider's own sign-in screen or a PIN sent to a real inbox, so far less spam gets through and you can remove the visual CAPTCHAs that put real people off. See How does Bread & Butter eliminate spam without making me rebuild my existing web forms?
  • Instant CRM sync. As soon as the form is submitted, the verified and enriched profile appears in your Bread & Butter dashboard, your Nurture Action Queue and your CRM.

Filter submissions before they reach your CRM

Many customers use the Form Booster to keep junk out of their sales database. Instead of sending submissions straight from the form to your CRM, route them through Bread & Butter first.

Bread & Butter checks each submission, verifies the email address and researches the person with Profile Enrichment. Your automation rules then decide what gets passed on, for example only contacts with a high Focused Score. Addresses that fail verification are moved to the Spam / Bad Email lead stage, which the Focused Tab and the Nurture Action Queue both leave out, so your sales team spends its time on real prospects.

Set up the Form Booster on WordPress

On WordPress, you add the Form Booster in the block editor, with no code.

  1. In your WordPress admin, open the page or post that has your form in edit mode.
  2. Add a new block, search for Form Booster and add it to the page.
  3. Turn on the toggle in the block settings to enable the Form Booster for this form.

  1. Change the text (optional). Turn on Customize Conversion display text to change the default text on the prompt. You can change all of the text or just some of it.
  2. Change how visitors verify by email (optional). Switch the email option from Email + Password + PIN to Sign in link to send visitors a one-click link instead.

  3. Click Save or Update. Your form is now ready to capture verified leads.

Not on WordPress? Add the Form Booster with a script

On any other website, you connect the Form Booster to your form with a short script. When a visitor clicks your form, Instant Lead Capture opens and asks them to verify before they fill it in. Once they have, their name and email address are filled in and locked, so they can't swap in a different name or address, which keeps your submissions clean.

The Bread & Butter snippet must already be installed (see JavaScript Snippet, or Install Bread & Butter on Webflow). You don't need the Instant Lead Capture snippet, because the Form Booster opens it by itself. On Webflow, this works with forms built with Webflow's own Form Block.

Step 1: Give your form and its fields IDs

The script finds your form by the IDs you give it. Set a unique ID on each of these, and note them down for Step 3:

  • The form, for example contact_form
  • The name field or fields. If your form has one field for the full name, give it an ID such as full-name  . If it has separate fields, give each an ID, such as first-name   and last-name  .
  • The email address field, for example email
  • The submit button, for example contact-submit

On Webflow, select each element on the page or in the Navigator in the left menu, click the gear icon in the right pane to open Element Settings, and enter the ID in the ID field. When you select the form itself, you'll see Form Settings at the top of the Settings tab.

Step 2: Add the script to your site

Add this script to the head of your site, below the Bread & Butter snippet. If you already have other Bread & Butter scripts there, add it below them. On Webflow, click the W icon at the top left of the Designer, select Site Settings, open Custom Code in the left menu and paste it into the Head Code field.

<script>
null == window.breadbutterQueue && (window.breadbutterQueue = []), window.injectBreadButter = function (e) { "undefined" != typeof BreadButter && BreadButter.init ? e() : window.breadbutterQueue.push(e) };
injectBreadButter(function () {
    BreadButter.ui.applyFormControl({
        form: 'FORM_ID',
        first_name: 'FIRST_NAME_FIELD_ID',
        last_name: 'LAST_NAME_FIELD_ID',
        name: 'FULL_NAME_FIELD_ID',
        email: 'EMAIL_FIELD_ID',
        email_confirm: 'CONFIRM_EMAIL_FIELD_ID',
        submit: 'SUBMIT_BUTTON_ID',
        event: 'CUSTOM_EVENT_NAME'
    });
});
</script>

Step 3: Add your IDs

Replace each placeholder with the ID you set in Step 1.

Setting What to enter
form   The ID of your form
first_name   and last_name   The IDs of your first name and last name fields. If your form has one name field, remove these two lines.
name   The ID of your full name field. If your form has separate first and last name fields, remove this line.
email   The ID of your email address field
submit   The ID of your submit button
event   Optional. The User Event to record when the form is submitted. Remove this line to record the standard Form Submit system event instead.

To record your own event, first create it on the User Events page in Bread & Butter (see What are User Events and how do I use them?), then replace CUSTOM_EVENT_NAME   with its event code.

Step 4: Save and publish

Save your changes and publish your site. On Webflow, click Save Changes, then publish.
