Connecting your community is the first step to activating your Lead Intelligence Engine. By installing Bread & Butter on your Circle.so platform, you gain unprecedented visibility into how your members consume content and interact with your gated community. This allows your LeadScore AI to identify your most engaged users and prime them for upsells or renewals.

Deploying with Google Tag Manager?

If you already manage your scripts via Google Tag Manager, you can skip the steps below and add your Bread & Butter snippet directly to your GTM container instead. Click here for GTM instructions. Otherwise, follow the steps below to install it manually.


Installation Instructions

Step 1: Locate your Tracking Script

  1. Log in to your Bread & Butter Dashboard.
  2. Navigate to Settings > App & Domains.
  3. Add the sub domain you want to merge with your primary domain account.
  4. Locate the JavaScript tracking snippet provided on this page. Your unique App ID is already dynamically included in the code.
  5. Click to copy the entire snippet.

Step 2: Add Custom Code in Circle.so

  1. Log in to your Circle.so admin dashboard.
  2. Navigate to Settings (gear icon) in the sidebar.
  3. Click on Code Snippets under the Advanced section.
  4. Locate the JavaScript Snippets (Head) box.
  5. Paste the tracking script you copied in Step 1 directly into this box.

Step 3: Save and Publish

  1. Click Save Changes at the bottom of the page.

Step 4: Verify Your Installation

  1. Open your live Circle.so community in a new browser tab or incognito window.
  2. Navigate back to your Bread & Butter Dashboard to verify that your active session is being recorded and your Lead Intelligence Engine is receiving data.

Troubleshooting

  • No Data in the Bread & Butter dashboard? Verify that your App ID is correct in the script.
  • Domain Check: Ensure your current Circle.so URL is listed under Settings > Advanced Settings > Website Domains in the Bread & Butter dashboard.
