+++ Google Tag Manager (GTM)

If your marketing team manages multiple tracking pixels and analytics tools, you can easily deploy the Bread & Butter tracking script globally across your site using Google Tag Manager (GTM) by creating a new "Custom HTML" tag.

⚠️ Warning: Do Not Use GTM for Primary WordPress Sites

We strongly advise against using GTM if your primary root domain runs on WordPress. GTM relies entirely on the browser to execute, meaning it is easily blocked by privacy extensions, strict browser settings, and security updates. Relying on GTM for a primary WordPress site creates unnecessary data blind spots. You must install the native Bread & Butter plugin to guarantee precise, server-side data collection.

Exception: You may use GTM to deploy this script on peripheral subdomains (e.g., a Zendesk support portal or a custom web app) to ensure your LeadScore AI tracks the complete user journey across all your properties.
