Release Notes v8.4

Release Date: February 24, 2026 Version: 8.4

This release introduces a completely revamped setup experience for our WordPress plugin, powerful new attribution charts in the Dashboard, comprehensive backend logging enhancements, and significant upgrades to our AI Nurture capabilities.

Web App

New Features

Conversion Sources & Top Pages Charts

We have expanded the Attribution Report to give you deeper visual insights into where your traffic and conversions are coming from.

  • Conversion Sources Chart: Added a new line chart that displays each traffic source over various time intervals, allowing you to easily compare performance across different channels. Each source is represented by a distinct color with a clear legend.
  • Top Pages Report: Duplicated the structure of the Sources report to create a new "Top Pages" summary and chart. You can now see your top 5 performing pages charted over time, complete with URL hover states and expandability to view more pages.

Enhanced Nurture AI Capabilities

  • Profile Highlights in Introductions: You can now select specific Profile Highlights (interesting information) directly from the delivery slip to be included in the "Introduction" intent Nurture Generate. Checked items are passed directly into the AI generation call to highly personalize your outreach.

Improvements

Dashboard Reorganization & Polish

  • Tab Reordering: To prioritize your most actionable data, we have reordered the Dashboard and Report tabs to: Focused, Conversions, Customers, All Visitors, followed by custom events.
  • Decluttered UI: We removed all "Coming Soon" features and obsolete tabs (such as the old Events top tabs, Inbound/Outbound tabs, and Schedule Send placeholders) to provide a cleaner, distraction-free interface.
  • Filter Results Formatting: Added thousands comma separators to the filter results count for easier readability (e.g., displaying "12,000" instead of "12000").
  • Custom Empty States: The dashboard now displays tailored, helpful messages when a top-level filter (Focused, Conversions, Customers) yields no results, offering tips on how to improve your funnel.

User Insights & Nurture Updates

  • IP & ISP Hover: To save space in the session header, IP and ISP information has been moved to a clean hover state over the City/State location.
  • Terminology Updates: * Changed the "MQL Assigned to" label to "LEAD ASSIGNED TO" in Nurture.
    • Changed the "Recently Active" sort option to "Recently Converted" for clarity.
  • App-Level CTAs: The CTA dropdown in the Nurture delivery slip now displays both User-Level and Account-Level CTAs, prioritizing Account-Level CTAs first.
  • Invalid Email Warnings: For apps with expired trials, invalid emails now display a highly visible yellow warning: "EMAIL MIGHT NOT BE VALID - UPGRADE TO FIX".
  • User Journey Toggle: Updated the expand/collapse text on user tiles to clearly state "View User Journey & Profile" and "Hide User Journey & Profile".

Bug Fixes

  • Missing Domains Section: Fixed a bug where the "Website Domains" section would disappear from the Settings page if an app was created without a domain. It now permanently resides at the top of the Conversion Methods tab for easy access.
  • Employee List Formatting: Removed the trailing dash in the Nurture delivery slip when a user has a company name but no job title associated with their profile.

Backend & Data (API)

New Features

Scrape Research Logs & Rolling Summaries

  • Persistent Scrape Logs: Detailed structured logs generated by our AI agents during company and user research are now persisted in the database, allowing you to debug data extraction directly alongside the resulting profile.
  • Rolling Summaries: Agents now use an LLM to automatically generate and continuously update a brief, bite-sized "rolling summary" of all research activities performed on a specific entity, preserving historical context.

Account-Wide Saved Filters & CTAs

  • Saved Filters: You can now create, name, and save filter sets at the app level. These filters can be applied globally across Dashboard views, Reports, and Integration rules.
  • Account-Wide CTAs: Administrators can now create Call-to-Actions (CTAs) at the Account level that are accessible to all users within the organization for use in AI-generated nurture emails.

Backend Event Triggering

  • Server-Side Events: Custom events can now be created and attached to specific pages directly from the Admin UI, allowing the backend to trigger them automatically on page views without requiring you to manually install tracking code on your frontend.

Improvements

Logging & Infrastructure Upgrades

  • New Relic Migration: Successfully migrated all backend logging from Papertrail to New Relic. We implemented selective response logging (skipping body logs for successful 200 OK responses) to reduce volume while adding rich structured metadata for vastly improved querying.
  • External Service Usage Tracking: Added a comprehensive SQL-based tracking system for external AI and data services to accurately monitor reporting and API usage costs.
  • Admin UI Controls: Added configurable Admin UI settings to directly control Agent AI models (Research, Reasoning, Judge) and set budget limits (Max Cycles, Max Runtimes).

Bug Fixes & Investigations

  • Agent API 500 Errors: Investigated and resolved intermittent server errors occurring when persisting user profiles and generated emails by improving retry logic and connection handling.
  • Social Login Cancellations: Fixed an issue where users clicking "Not Now" or "Cancel" on Facebook/LinkedIn authentication screens would get stuck. They are now gracefully redirected back to the app's Destination URL.
  • Source Hierarchy: Corrected the source categorization logic so AI platforms (like gemini.google.com  ) are correctly tagged as "AI" rather than defaulting to generic Search Engines.

WordPress Plugin (WPP)

New Features

Simplified Setup Wizard

We have completely redesigned the "Not Set Up" state to drastically simplify onboarding.

  • One-Click Connection: Users can now click "Connect & Start Enriching" to launch a streamlined sign-in dialogue. If an email is provided, it is automatically passed to the registration screen to eliminate retyping.
  • Manual Configuration Fallback: Added a sleek, hidden manual configuration box for users who prefer to enter their APP ID and Secret directly.
  • Automated Domain Verification: The wizard now automatically validates credentials and provides a one-click copy tool for your Callback URL to ensure secure connections.

Native Tool Pages

  • In-App Documentation: We added dedicated left-navigation pages for the Form Booster and Calendar Booster directly inside the WordPress dashboard, bringing our setup guides and content natively into your workspace.

Improvements

  • Page Titles: Updated the page title format for all Bread & Butter plugin pages to standard WordPress formatting: [Page] - Bread & Butter IO - [Website Name]  .

Bug Fixes

  • Subscription Booster Overrides: Fixed a bug where page-specific settings (custom text, colors, events) for the Newsletter tool were being incorrectly overridden by global settings.

JavaScript Library (JSL) & Conversion Widgets

Improvements

  • Search Form Exclusion: The universal form capture code has been updated to automatically ignore site search fields (specifically forms using class="search-form"   and role="search"  ), preventing unwanted login popups when users are just trying to search your site.
  • Form Field Locking: When the Conversion Booster automatically fills a user's name and email address, those specific fields are now locked and made uneditable to preserve data integrity, while still successfully passing the data on form submission.

Bug Fixes

  • Success Message Restored: Fixed an issue where the "Success" state message was failing to appear after a user completed a "Continue with" login action on WordPress and Webflow websites.
  • Formidable & Everest Forms: Resolved a bug preventing the Form Submission system event from properly triggering when users submitted data through Formidable or Everest forms.
