Release Notes v7.10

Release Date: November 01 2025 Version: 7.10

This release focuses on refining the user journey on the Dashboard, deep-cleaning the WordPress Plugin settings for better usability, and adding more intelligence to our Nurture AI generation.

Web App

New Features

Focused Tab Evolution

We have improved the Focused tab on the Dashboard to make user exploration more intuitive.

  • Auto-Expand: The first 3 user tiles now automatically expand on load, showing their latest session page views immediately.

    Clearer Actions:

    • The 4th user tile displays a specific "View full journey" call-to-action.
    • Subsequent tiles (5th, 6th) display a simple "View" label.
    • This responsive design ensures you know exactly how to dig deeper into user data.

Advanced Filtering & UI

  • "Focused" Filter Button: Added a dedicated FOCUSED filter button to the top row of the Dashboard (next to All Sessions). Clicking this applies the smart "Focused" filter logic (Lead Score 6+, not anonymous, important pages only).
  • Segment Filter: We have consolidated multiple 2nd-level filters (Traffic Source, Campaign, etc.) into a single, clean "Segment" dropdown filter to match our new design system.
  • Date Display: Dashboard tiles now use relative dates (e.g., "Yesterday", "2 days ago") instead of raw dates for recent activity, making recency easier to parse at a glance.

User Profile Enrichment

  • Role & LinkedIn: User tiles on the Dashboard now display the user's Role/Position (truncated at 15 chars) next to their email.
  • LinkedIn Link: Added a direct LinkedIn icon/link next to the role if a profile URL is available.

Improvements

  • Email Captured Event: Changed the text color of the "Email Captured" event to black in dropdowns for better visibility.

Google Bot Identification: Added "Google special-case crawlers" to our list of known Google ISP fingerprints to correctly identify them as bots.

    Nurture Delivery Slip:

    • Replaced the "Find me 10 more leads" placeholder with a "User Profile Interesting Information" section, displaying real AI-gathered insights about the lead.
    • Added a "Copy Link" action to the share icon, allowing you to quickly share a specific Nurture lead with team members.
  • Tools Page: Updated the Tools page layout to match the marketing site, prioritizing Content Gate Classic at the top.
  • Conversion Report: Improved alignment of specific source rows (handling favicons vs. no favicons) and added a + Expand button to show only the top 5 sources initially.

Bug Fixes

  • Filter Highlighting: Fixed a bug where a filter dropdown would remain highlighted yellow even after all selections were cleared.
  • Domain Loading: Fixed a visual glitch where "Click here to set" would flash briefly before the actual domain name loaded on the Dashboard.
  • Empty Nurture States: Disabled the "Send" buttons when viewing a fake/empty Nurture draft to prevent confusion.

⚙️ Backend & Data (API)

New Features

Smart Auto-Generate Conditions

  • Internal Exclusion: The system no longer auto-generates Nurture emails for users with @breadbutter.io     email addresses or for App Admins/Auditors.
  • Lead Status Exclusion: Users with a Lead Status of 10 ("Dead") are now excluded from the Importance Sort and will never trigger auto-generation.

Traffic Source Logic

  • ChatGPT & OpenAI: Improved source detection to flag visitors as "AI" source if their only UTM parameter is utm_source=chatgpt.com     or openai    , even if the referrer header is missing.
  • User Journey Events: Changed the default behavior of the User Journey line: "Form Submitted" is now always included by default, while "Signed In" has been removed (but can be re-added manually).

Bug Fixes

  • Duplicate Auto-Generates: Investigated and resolved a race condition where multiple Nurture emails were generated for the same user within minutes.
  • Default Email Options: Added a new email_option_default     setting to GetClientSettings     to explicitly tell the JSL which email mode (Email Only, Local Login, Magic Link) to prioritize when multiple are enabled.

WordPress Plugin (WPP)

New Features

Settings Overhaul

We have significantly reorganized the WordPress admin menu to be more logical.

  • General Settings: Cleaned up by removing deprecated "User Event Setup" and "Social Logins" sections.
  • New "Custom Fields" Page: Moved custom field configuration to its own dedicated page under "More Tools".
  • Menu Moves: Moved "Continue with" and "Opt-in" into the "Conversion Tools" section.

Uninstall Feedback

  • Survey: Added a feedback form during the plugin uninstallation process to help us understand why users leave (e.g., "Content gate isn't working", "Temporary troubleshooting").

Improvements

  • Caching Notice: New installations now display a banner for the first 24 hours reminding admins to clear their site cache to ensure tools load correctly.
  • App Switching: Added a warning note when switching the connected app in the wizard: "Note: This will automatically change your app’s settings."
  • Tool Headers: Updated header images and "How-to" links for Content Gate, Opt-in, and Contact Us pages.

Bug Fixes

  • Settings Conflict: Fixed a bug where enabling the "Subscriber Profile" tool would inadvertently disable the "Turn off WordPress Admin Header" setting.
  • Responsive Layout: Fixed an issue where email-based options on the Settings page would overlap on smaller screens.

JavaScript Library (JSL) & Conversion Widgets

New Features

Name Collection for Email Only

  • Smart UI: When "Email Only" is enabled alongside "Require Name," the flow now gracefully asks for First/Last Name after the email is entered.
    • If SSO is also enabled, clicking "Continue with Email" switches the view to a name entry form instead of just replacing the tile.

Improvements

  • Opt-in Style: Updated the Newsletter Opt-in tool design to match the Content Gate Classic style, including configurable button text and new image options.

Bug Fixes

  • Name Submission: Fixed a bug where optional names (Require Name = False) were not being passed to the backend during Email Only sign-ups.

NurtureAI Agent (NUR)

Improvements

  • Location Context (AIDA): Tuned the AIDA intent to de-emphasize hyper-specific location references.
    • Change: The agent will no longer try to awkwardly tie a specific city (e.g., "Liberty, Kansas") into the business value proposition. Location is now referenced more casually or omitted if not relevant to the pitch.
